Tasting Beers Live - June 2009

This year’s show took place at the NEC Birmingham from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June, daily from 11am to 6pm. The show included:

The Beers Live stage: with presentations from the Hairy Bikers and beer tastings, live debates, competitions, entertainment and much more.

The Beer Garden: visitors took a break in the Beer Garden, where they enjoyed a beer with a selection of food in the comfort of a beer garden environment.

Beers of Europe: one of the UK’s leading beer retailers offered all the beers from the show and more for purchase on the day or for delivery afterwards.

Tasting Classes: the Beers Live Tastings were the dedicated seminars for those who wanted to learn a little more, and included:

The Return of Style; the great beer revival has led to enormous interest in styles. What is a true IPA, a Pilsner, a porter or a Bock? Roger Protz explored the origins and renaissance of the world's great beer styles.

Sharp’s Beers; from design to reality. This class provided a unique insight into how beer is designed and created from than man who makes it! The very passionate Stuart Howe guided us through his range from beers brewed with Rick Stein to brews not normally available to the general public. Real beer from a real brewer!
