Fruity and floral, with hints of pineapple and pear joining biscuit and caramel from the malt.
Palate
Full and sweet, bouncing with floral, bitter hops and with a juicy, melon-like, tropical fruit note underneath, plus more gentle caramel from the malt.
Finish
Sweetness is soon overpowered by tangy, firmly bitter, leafy, citrus notes from the hops. Drying, with a hint of roasted grain.
Comment
A full-value, golden ale that initially veers off in the sweet direction but comes together very well once the hops kick in.
