Nose: Surprisingly modest aroma. Mostly malt and raisins.
Palate: The bitter side of bittersweet. Malt, with chocolate notes, leads, supported by a raisin and glacé cherry fruitiness, and alcoholic warmth. Quite dry.
Finish: Bitter, hoppy and very dry. Lingering chocolatey malt.
Comment: A pleasant bright ruby coloured ale that could use more depth of character.
