Nose
Light coffee and chocolate can be found in the soft malt notes, supported by gentle raisin.
Palate
Soft, smooth and bittersweet, with creamy chocolate, nut and crispbread from the dark malt, along with raisins.
Finish
Drying and thick. Chocolate raisins join bitterness from both roasted grains and hops, with some lingering malty sweetness.
Comment
A nourishing, ruby coloured beer, loaded with smooth, complementary flavours.

Nose
Nice graininess, coupled with some barley-twist candy and a roasted edge. Some malt loaf.
Palate
Lovely. Initially sweet, with some good roasted grain character – coffee, chocolate, and a slightly savoury edge. Great texture, with a fairly low carbonation. Alcohol very well integrated.
Finish
The lovely roasted note blossoms into dried fruit and milk chocolate, with a lovely rich fruitcake edge to it.
Comment
A great example of the style, very drinkable but packed with flavour.
