Nose
Digestive biscuits, malt and nuts.
Palate
Nutty, malty and bittersweet with bitter roasted malt highlights. There's light toffee in the background and a gentle chalky, chocolatey note, too.
Finish
Dry and nicely bitter with lingering nutty roasted grain.
Comment
A clean and suppable, very nutty beer. This and the Asam Bock bear the ‘Weltenburger Kloster' name, which means they are still produced at the Weltenburg monastery in the world's second oldest brewery, which has origins dating back to 1050.
