Lightly smoky dark malts, gentle chocolate and soft lemon-citrus aromas at first, becoming pruney.
Palate
Sweet and perhaps a touch sickly to begin with, but pruney fruit, nutty dark malt and various shades of chocolate soon push their way through. The strength is evident in the pleasant tingle of warmth.
Finish
Dry, thick and bittersweet. Lots of lingering malt blends with hop bitterness.
Comment
A full-on, sweet bock that at first seems to lack subtlety. In time, however, the pruney fruitiness brings everything back into balance.
