Nose
Spicy hops, barley sugars and liquorice.
Palate
Fairly dry and pleasantly bitter. Barley sugar flavours continue, well balanced by a spicy, lightly fruity hop edge, which, for once, is not pungently citrus or resin-like in nature. Gentle liquorice.
Finish
Dry, bitter and hoppy with more liquorice.
Comment
Along with a stout called Satanic Mills, this is the latest extension of the Bombardier brand, a golden ale featuring Fuggles and Golding hops.
