Nose
Grainy and coffeeish, with a powdery ‘drinking chocolate' character. Light suggestions of pear.
Palate
Powdery chocolate notes are immediately obvious. Pear notes throughout. Nicely bitter and not as sweet as expected.
Finish
Dry, increasingly bitter and chewy. Bitter chocolate and soft traces of pear.
Comment
A touch light in the body for its strength and not as thick and luxurious as the packaging promises. Quite a bitter stout on the whole.
