Nose: Bready, spicy and fruity (bananas, pears and lemon juice). A little mild hop.
Palate: Finely balanced mix of sweet and lightly tart fruits (lemon and banana). Wheaty-chewy and gently bitter with a touch of spice.
Finish: Gentle bitterness increases while mellow fruit lingers. Drying and chalky.
Comment: Well-constructed and reliable beer from the world's oldest brewery (AD 1040).
