Nose
Soft, tangy, floral and herbal hops. Grainy in places and slightly soapy but it promises good body.
Palate
Bittersweet, reasonably full-bodied and hoppy, with perfumed, tangy, citrus herbal notes, plus a hint of toffee in the malt.
Finish
Firmly bitter, dry and lemon-hoppy, lasting well.
Comment
This is the nearest thing to a national brand in Germany, coming from a village between Dortmund and Kassel. It lacks some freshness but it certainly has character.
