Nose
Complex and interesting: a mix of floral hops, nutty, clean malt, a hint of toffee and some mild orange fruitiness.
Palate
Crisp, bitter and hoppy but with a solid malty foundation. Quite dry, too, with some nut and floral notes, traces of chocolate and little bursts of orange.
Finish
Dry and bitter as hops and roasted malt kick in.
Comment
A full-flavoured 80/- that does the business. Traditional Scottish Ales is an amalgamation of three Scottish microbreweries: City of Stirling, Trossachs Craft and Bridge of Allan.
