Nose
Biscuity, with coffee, chocolate and a whiff of treacle. There's a winey liquorice note, too.
Palate
Dark chocolate and toffee lead the way, but the taste oozes with liquorice. Not as full-bodied as expected from the deep ruby colour.
Finish
Dry with a powdery bitter chocolate character.
Comment
Well balanced, with pleasant, wintry flavours, although perhaps lacking a bit of body, as it dries quickly.
