Dark chocolate, honey and caramel with a grassy bitterness.
Palate
Mouth-filling flavours include honey, bitter chocolate,
malty sweetness and espresso coffee.
Finish
Drying, with a liquorice note from the swallow onwards and bitter chocolate and coffee still washing around.
Comment
Good imperial stout flavours but at a more manageable strength than most examples of the style currently on the market.

Roast malt accented presenting coffee and burnt toffee
aromas with some dark berries and pungent warming alcohols.
Palate
Medium bodied, smooth and rich. Warming alcohol soaked dark berry fruits elegantly balance astringent roast malts that bring coffee and chocolate notes.
Finish
Gently rounded off with warming alcohols and more
lingering dark fruit and roast malt.
Comment
Overall well balanced, full flavoured and roasted, with
alcoholic notes bringing a touch of elegance to the finish.
