Nose

There's a touch of chocolate in the dominant malt, along with a little raisin and suggestions of black tea.

Palate

Sweet, malty and smooth. Nut flavour is not obvious but there is some raisin and a little tealike bitterness.

Finish

Caramel on the swallow lingers on into the nutty finish that eventually turns bitter.

Comment

A well-balanced but not particularly striking beer that delivers more in the finish than in the taste.

Dry, with a little hopbitter aftertaste.
