Nose
Soft and gently perfumed with sweet, delicate pale malt. Mellow, estery fruit – pineapple, lemon and a hint of pear – with just a suggestion of bubblegum.
Palate
Smooth, creamy pale malt and crisp bitterness share the honours. In the background are bitter lemons, pear drops and pink bubblegum.
Finish
Dry and a little chewy. Mellow on the swallow, becoming hoppy and bitter.
Comment
An interesting golden ale with a surprisingly estery character for its strength. Brewed by Wychwood for Sainsbury's.
