Nose
Full, fruity mix of malt and hops. Nutty and lightly toffeeish behind; wonderfully fragrant hops up front. Fresh, grapefruit-citrus notes.
Palate
Sweetish, with a full malty body, yet notably hoppy. Light toffee and nut at all times, with a bitter grapefruit sharpness, but the alcohol is just a bit too strong and evident.
Finish
Gently warming, dry, bitter and rather thick. Hops dominate.
Comment
A robust, chunky beer featuring just one hop – Crystal. A little less alcohol would work to its benefit.
