Rogue Amber

Nose: Rich, hoppy and fruity, with orange peel and sultanas, and a sticky maltiness behind. The label declares a coffee aroma, but not much evidence of that.
Palate: A good mix of nutty dark malts and tangy, resinous hops, with a tannin-like dryness. Light orange and grapefruit flavours float around.
Finish: Hoppy, bitter and dry with lingering nutty malt and bitter grapefruit.
Comment: An old-fashioned style red amber beer, given an American twist with the inclusion of Cascade hops. Some of the proceeds go to charity.
