Nose
Malt and caramel with light coffee and chocolate, plus a little raisin.
Palate
Worty, malty sweetness comes to the fore along with slightly vinous raisiny fruit, all backed by a tender hoppy bitterness.
Finish
Malty sweetness persists but hops dry the palate. Light chocolate emerges from the swallow onwards, developing into mellow coffee notes.
Comment
An enjoyable dark Czech beer that has been available in the UK for a number of years.
