Nose

Gentle toffee with a grapefruit tartness.

Palate

Crisp and spritzy, with more sharp grapefruit from the hops and soft toffee from the malt. There's a clean bitterness to the fore and a good, solid mouthfeel.

Finish

Dry, firmly bitter and longlasting, with more grapefruit flavours from the generous hopping.

Comment

This bright golden ale is a clean showcase for American hops, with both Cascade and Willamette used for aroma. Good, fun, modern packaging, too.

Caramel and butterscotch with light floral hops behind (orange blossom?).

Palate

Sweet and full.

Finish

Nicely bitter like citrus peel. Lasts and lasts.

Sweet on the nose, bitter on the finish.
