Nose
Big biscuity aromas. Lightly smoky, with plain chocolate emerging and some gentle liquorice.
Palate
A fine balance of smoky malt, chocolaty sweetness and the bitterness of roasted grain. There's a hint of caramel in the background and gentle floral notes from the hops.
Finish
Roasted grain develops and dark chocolate lingers. Dry and moderately bitter.
Comment
A well-rounded, balanced dark mild, with heaps of dark malt character and not too much in the way of bitterness.
