Slightly sour and grainy, with a creamy, smoky dark malt aroma.
Interesting herbal and malty flavours dominate. A little bit smoky with a light peppery warmth. Sweetness gradually builds to balance out the pleasant sourness up front and there are hints of chocolate throughout.
Increasingly bitter, with roasted grains and a lingering hoppy dryness.
Quite a challenging dunkel with lots of character, brewed at Prince Luitpold of Bavaria's fairy tale castle.
