Nose
Mellow tropical fruits, especially pineapple and bubble gum. The herbal hop notes are somewhat lost in the mix.
Palate
Bittersweet, smooth and rich, with a pleasant moussey texture. The alcohol adds warmth and a peppery note, but the gentle hop flavours are somewhat overshadowed.
Finish
Slow-building, dry and rather chewy, with clove notes in the bitterness and some lingering citrus fruit. At last the hops in the beer's name squeeze through.
Comment
A full-flavoured, smooth beer that drinks quite light for its strength. It's great to see a global giant experimenting.
