Bready and yeasty, with a peppery, orange spiciness.
Palate
Big, warming taste of bitter oranges and peppery spices. Hints of tropical fruits, mango and melon in particular.
Finish
Surprisingly dry and chewy, with lingering bitter fruits and spices. Warms the throat pleasantly, like a spirit.
Comment
A hazy yellow ‘triple', laced with coriander and bitter orange peel. Unlike the increasingly ubiquitous Hoegaarden itself, this big brother is not a wheat beer. Now a touch weaker than a year ago (was 8.7%).
