Nose
Full and welcoming, packed with sweet malt, floral notes and light tropical fruits, with tart lemon taking over.
Palate
Clean and tasty, falling on the sweet side of bittersweet. Slightly perfumed and floral with more tropical fruit, plus lightly herbal, gentle hops in the background.
Finish
Bittersweet, but fades quickly. Some lingering lemon but only very mild hop.
Comment
Regally-wrapped in black and gold tissue paper, this is described as a ‘boutique beer' and, despite the emphasis on style, has some substance, too. It's a very mellow beer overall.
