Nose
Liquid Battenberg cake: full of marzipan and cherry.
Palate
Fairly bitter but rich in the same cherry and marzipan flavours.
Finish
More Battenberg as the bitterness fades on the swallow before returning when the hops kick in.
Comment
A nicely packaged, interesting and flavoursome beer that drinks a bit lighter than its 6% ABV. Would be better if a touch sweeter, perhaps.
