Nose
Almost a wheat beer aroma: bubblegum and a little bread, becoming a touch sour.
Palate
Wheaty once again. Only gently bitter with a mild hoppiness. Traces of vanilla. Slightly warming and strangely similar to a weissbier, but without the fruit notes.
Finish
Dry, fairly thick and gently bitter.
Comment
A mild-mannered, quite chewy lager from China, with unusual flavours. The name means ‘Pearl River'.
