Sour grains, hints of butterscotch and a splash of lemonade. Also a bit alcoholic.
Palate
The body is light and grainy, and swamped by cardboard flavours from oxidation. Light citrus note try to redeem it but fail. Gentle butterscotch.
Finish
Bittersweet, with citrus notes, creating a lemonade shandy effect. No depth or longevity.
Comment
Sadly, very little to praise. A strong Chinese lager with the character of a soft drink. Not as good as when last tasted for this magazine. (The name means Pearl River).
