Greene King IPA Exports Strength

Nose: Estery fruits at first – hints of banana, pear drop and pineapple over smooth malt. Oily hop resins work their way through.
Palate: Full-bodied, smooth and fairly robust, with ample malt for sweetness and strength, a clean, bitter, hoppy bite and lots of flowery, tropical esters.
Finish: Dry, hoppy and increasingly bitter, with some lingering sweetness from the malt.
Comment: Well-balanced and tasty: a cut above Greene King's standard IPA. Scores more highly this time than in an earlier tasting.
