Nose
Spicy hops and a toasted malt note.
Palate
Rather sweet and smoothly malty with a good, spicy, slightly tart hop bite. Good body but perhaps could be just a touch cleaner.
Finish
Drying and bittersweet, with lingering malt. Tart hops gradually take over.
Comment
While it could be a little more subtle in places, this is a good value, enjoyable beer with the distinctive Czech thumbprint. The contents are far better than the understated, uninformative bottle would suggest.
