Nose

Distinctly woody, with a whiff of lambic. The oak is creamy but not too dominant, allowing zesty oranges aromas through.

Palate

Bitter, zesty oranges and tart, creamy oak are the main features, with a hint of whisky. Light drinking for the strength.

Finish

Clean and dry, but slow to develop. Bitter orange notes from the hops come through, along with soft oak.

Comment

Wonderfully packaged, typically professional, oak-aged beer from Fuller's that tends to grow on you.

Hop bitterness joined by vanilla and orange oils.

Finish

Disparate aromas and flavours unite well and finish with vanilla and hop citric notes.

Comment

Golden in colour with good head. Balanced and warming.
