Nose

Biscuity malt and chocolate. Liquorice notes. Subdued orange. A touch vegetal.

Palate

Bittersweet dark malt flavours. Hops are lively adding liquorice-like bitterness. Faint vinous fruitiness.

Finish

Drying and malty yet also hoppy, with a liquorice bitterness.

Comment

Not the most complex sample I've tasted of this successful, deep amber/reddish beer, which can age beautifully to become even more malty-dry and sherry like.
