Nose
Coffee and nut from the almost burnt malts. Tobacco and dark chocolate are also in the mix, with a little tartness emerging.
Palate
Nutty, roasted malt, plain chocolate and tobacco, with tart fruit at all times. Bittersweet, with a pleasant, airy texture.
Finish
A bit thin on the swallow, then drying, with roasted malt bringing more chocolate.
Comment
A ruby-coloured, bottle-conditioned mild with some interesting.

Rich, roasty and malty, with the freshness of a justended rainstorm.
Palate
Fresh birch root and green leaves, hints of sweet tobacco and chocolate.
Finish
Richness tapering into a moreish, clean finish.
Comment
Complex and full of pleasantly-surprising flavours. A clever interpretation of dark mild.
