Nose: There's a hint of caramel in the malty aroma, with floral hops providing a contrast.
Palate: Grainy and bittersweet, with traces of pear drop and a hoppy dryness behind.
Finish: Dry, bitter and hoppy, but rather one dimensional.
Comment: The hops do just enough to make this beer from northern Germany quaffable, but the estery pear drops and graininess detract from the enjoyment.
