Nose
Honeyed malt with a little lemon tartness.
Palate
Honeyed, silky malt with traces of butterscotch washes over the tongue, but this is not sweet. Bitterness just has the edge, thanks to hops that also bring a spicy zing and a gentle lemon sharpness.
Finish
Dry and malty with a moreish honey note lingering and bitterness gradually taking over.
Comment
One of the longest-established golden ales, dating back to the mid-1980s. Enjoy the rich, smooth maltiness.
