Nose

Vinous and tart, creamy, oaky and clearly potent. Rich malt and red berry fruitiness are just two more attributes of this hugely complex aroma.

Palate

Sweet, warming, zingingly zesty and sharp. Red berries, smooth malt, tangy hops and citrus and tropical fruits also feature.

Finish

Amazingly, bitter citrus fruit still leads the way, outpointing lingering malt and fiery warmth.

Comment

When we said ‘above 5%' we weren't quite expecting this! Dogfish Head leads the way with ‘extreme' beers, and this is as extreme as it gets.
