Nose: Loaded with hop resins. Suggestions of lemon against a firm, malty backdrop that becomes more and more obvious.
Palate: Super-smooth on the tongue. Bittersweet and tasty with lots of tangy hop character and a clean, supportive maltiness. Traces of lemon continue.
Finish: Dry, hoppy and lemony aftertaste.
Comment: Light and delicate for such a hoppy and strong beer. A very quaffable golden IPA from the North-East that was the winner of Asda's bottled beer competition in 2005.
