Nose: Soft chocolate notes, plus a dash of pepper.
Palate: Bittersweet. The light fruitiness up front has traces of pear. Smooth, chocolate flavours behind. Little bits of roasted grain show through, along with a touch of liquorice.
Finish: Full and creamy with coffee notes.
Comment: An enjoyable bottle-conditioned porter that, on this tasting, just lacks a little carbonation.
