Nose: Enticing, biscuity aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and a little caramel.
Palate: There's plenty of coffee and dark chocolate but also some tartness that overshadows the modest background sweetness.
Finish: Dry and bitter, with more dark chocolate and coffee from the roasted grains.
Comment: An assertive stout that's perhaps just a bit too tart for some palates.
