Nose: Full, creamy pale malt. Mellow fruit (melon and tropical). Spicy yeast notes.
Palate: Smooth, sweet malt upfront. Fruit remains largely in the background. Spicy hop notes are regrettably obscured by wet paper oxidation flavours. Suggestions of liquorice in the bitterness.
Finish: Bittersweet, dry and fairly chewy. Fruit and malt sweetness linger along with spicy hops.
Comment: A blonde French beer that is a touch too thick in the finish.
