Ovaltine-like malt aromas backed by a light apricot fruitiness.
Palate
Ovaltine again leads the way, balanced by gentle citrus and apricot from the hops. Sweet overall, turning slightly peppery as the strength becomes apparent.
Finish
Takes time to build but, eventually, sweet, light malt emerges and is soon swallowed up by hops.
Comment
One of the first organic ales, although the strain of barley that gives the beer its name is no longer used in the brew. After a full malty aroma and taste, the finish is
refreshingly delicate.
