Nose
Malt loaf – sticky, stewed malt and dried fruit.
Palate
Mostly sweet and malty, with dried vine fruits, plus a little orange-citrus for contrast, but it lacks freshness.
Finish
Malt and caramel at first, then hops push through, leaving the finish bitter and dry.
Comment
A solid enough brown ale, with decent flavours, but tired tasting on this evidence.
