Nose
Bitter chocolate, rich biscuity malt, just a hint of vanilla and a whiff of spicy hops.
Palate
A bittersweet, tasty beer featuring a great combination of bitter chocolate, coffee, biscuity malt and spicy hops. Not in the least bit heavy or cloying.
Finish
Smooth on the swallow, with roasted malt pleasantly building all the time. More biscuity grain offset by a clean, hoppy tang and just a hint of liquorice.
Comment
Clean, crisp and loaded with flavour. Full of character and taste yet surprisingly mellow at the same time. An excellent addition to the Budvar range.

Tasting Note : Hint of smoke, dry palate and a Marmite/slightly metallic aroma. Good drinkability for a dark beer, with not too much roast and a well balanced bitterness. Dry aftertaste of roast coffee and chocolate lingers. Clean middle flavours, with a parsnip-like flavour at back of the throat.
