Nose
Mellow and creamy, featuring faintly sour coffee, light chocolate and biscuits.
Palate
Gently sour coffee flavours and background herbal hop notes are the main features. Bittersweet overall but nicely crisp and refreshing for a dark beer.
Finish
Very dry and bitter with lots of biscuity dark chocolate and some hop.
Comment
The mellow roasted grain flavours are very enjoyable but it's the crispness and lightness that are the making of this beer.
