Nose
Soft, citrus hops lead over rich, creamy malt.
Palate
Smooth, full of ripe, sweet malt and ever-so-slightly warming (the strength is very evident). A little estery fruit (raisin) pokes through the fine layer of herbal hops.
Finish
Bittersweet and smooth, with a vanilla maltiness and tangy, herbal hops.
Comment
A silky upgrade to the standard Budvar, lagered for no fewer than 200 days. Perhaps still a touch too alcoholic for some drinkers.
