Nose
Spicy and yeasty, with gentle chocolate, nut and coriander.
Palate
Sweet bakers' spices, a little caramel and some citrus fruit. Bitterness is second best but still present. Gently warming.
Finish
A clove-like bitterness takes over, although there's still a sugary character to the drying finish.
Comment
Not the most complex of Belgian browns but well made and enjoyable. Fairly bitter in the finish for the style.

Nose
Lemony and medicinal (slightly clovey). Warm, malty alcohol hiding underneath and something a bit like tomato purée.
Palate
Big and mouthfilling with lots of carbonation. Sharp and sweet.
Finish
Carbonation lingers. Fades to leave a balanced bitterness and throat-warming alcohol.
Comment
A little too much fizz for me, but a good well crafted Belgian brown just the same.
