Nose: Rich and appetising aroma of pungent, resinous American hops, with a light citrus edge. Slightly nutty.
Palate: Bold, tangy hops dominate over soft oranges (like orange-cream chocolate filling) and gentle toffee. A little caramel on the swallow.
Finish: Bitter, hoppy and quite dry with more orange-cream character.
Comment: No shrinking violet, this copper-coloured brew is a hop feast yet very well balanced. All the flavours of an assertive hoppy ale but with the crisp, clean character of a lager.
