Nose

Tart, oaky aroma of roasted grain, with soft chocolate and a touch of caramel.

Palate

Robust, tangy and bitter with some sweet chocolate notes and a peppery spiciness. Hop bitterness is also in evidence.

Finish

Dry, bitter, tangy and hoppy with dark chocolate and well roasted coffee flavours.

Comment

A big, solid, clean and uncompromising imperial stout, packed with flavour.

Nose

Burnt toffee and blackcurrant with hints of chocolate overlaying smoky roast malts and some hoppy notes struggling to come through.

Palate

Opens thick and full bodied. Astringent roast malts battle with bitter hop resins to give a bitter bite to the beer.

Finish

Heavy warming alcohols with sharp dark berry fruit linger with subtle roast malts..

Comment

Opens with plenty of intense bitter dark malt and balanced hop aggression before finishing into warming fruity alcohols. Very full flavoured.
