Nose
Bitter orange peel and tropical fruit.
Palate
Chewy, spicy and warming, with a bitter orange sharpness on top of sweetish malt.
Finish
Hops eventually emerge in the otherwise bittersweet, dry, thick and warming finish.
Comment
A chunky, golden Belgian ale that is too woolly and alcoholic to be very enjoyable.

Nose
Like faintly sweet bread: brioche, raisin toast.
Palate
Sweet and juicy.
Finish
Hops at last – faintly drying. Liquorice at the end.
Comment
Mine was a lively sample, but it filled the room with a lovely smell. Too alcoholic to drink much of.
