Bennett's Classic Black

Nose: Dark malts and plain chocolate at first, becoming very coffeeish and creamy.
Palate: Creamy and fairly sweet with mellow coffee and dark chocolate throughout. Light caramel notes and bits of burnt grain poke through.
Finish: Slightly thick and sweetish, growing more bitter as the roasted grain develops. More bitter dark chocolate and lingering coffee.
Comment: A rich, mellow, ruby-coloured stout that, being fairly sweet, would pair wonderfully well with some creamy desserts.
