Nose

Floral at first, with a suggestion of orchard fruit, then a touch of toffee and chocolate.

Palate

Bitter and hoppy but with a good fruitcake maltiness and a dry moreishness. There are also traces of chocolate and toffee and a little zing of orange zest.

Finish

Solid and substantial, dry, hoppy and firmly bitter, with lingering dried fruit flavours.

Comment

A red-amber-coloured beer with fruit cake flavours you expect in a beer of a much greater strength.

Delicate hops and green grape skins. Faint chocolate. Earthy.

Palate

Fruity, citrus hops. Clean and fresh.

Finish

Delayed, bitter. Drying and well balanced.
